    So it's kinda quiet?

I've been looking for a new Christian metal forum... Are there people reading this site and not posting? What are you guys interested in here as far as metal... classic or core?

Things have just been slow here lately.  5Minutes (the mastermind behind this forum) admins at the Tourniquet Discussion Zone (tourniquet.net) and works a full-time job, etc.  Regular joe posters like myself also work full-time and frequent a wide range of forums.

Nice to have you here though. :)

To answer your question. Definitely classic metal.

    Howdy, Raging Storm.

Around here, it's as varied as the metal scene itself.  I, personally, am more into technical thrash, alterna-metal, 80's power metal, and progressive stuff - along with lots of other kinds of non-metal music like jazz, folk, pre-1950's blues, and classical.  I know there are some core fans and fans of other genres.  Everyone's welcome here.

As for traffic, things stay pretty quiet around here.  There's a lot of good boards that meet different needs.  This community's pretty new, and like every community, its use ebbs and flows.  Most of the people here are working folks, so family and job stuff may get in the way of things.  For me, recently, I've had to manage the installation of a new audio/video system for a local TV program (my biggest project to date), and while I've posted quite a bit at a couple of other sites, my posts there have mostly been vents.  I try to reserve the intelligent stuff for this board and the TQT DZ.

By the way: come on by the TQT DZ if you haven't already.  Great board, great community, great band (http://www.tourniquetdz.net).

Hoping to see released later this year:  new Tourniquet and new Believer. Cool  Might look into Alice Cooper's July 29 release, Along Came A Spider.  Wally World didn't carry Jon Foreman's second solo release, and I'm trying to avoid online purchases, so I might want to get this one next year.

Otherwise, I've spent 2008 building up my Queen and Pink Floyd collections.  That's about it.
